Once there were three Bruins: Pop, Mom, Kid.
They lived in their forest house.
One morning when Mom Bruin cooked, the three Bruins decided to dine on bowls of porridge.
But the porridge? Too hot! So the three Bruins decided to go hiking while the porridge cooled.
Soon Goldilocks showed up. She knocked on the door. No one home. So she went in.
Goldilocks found herself in the kitchen. On the counter she found three bowls of porridge.
Goldilocks felt hungry! So she decided to try some porridge. She tried the big bowl of porridge. Too hot. Next she tried the medium-sized bowl of porridge. Too cold.
Then she tried the little kid bowl of porridge. Just right.
So she gobbled it up.
Goldilocks felt tired. She spied three rockers. She tried the big rocker. Ouch! It felt like rock.
She tried the medium-sized rocker. Too soft.
Then she tried the little kid rocker. Just right.
Then BOOM! The rocker broke, sending Goldilocks to the floor.
Goldilocks got sleepy. She climbed to the second floor. There she found three beds. She plopped down in the big bed. Ouch! Like rock! She plopped down in the medium-sized bed. Too soft.
Then she plopped down on the little kid bed. Just right.
Goldilocks soon slept.
While she slept, the three Bruins returned.
Pop bruin looked on the counter. “Someone tried my porridge!” he shouted.
“Someone tried my porridge!” yelled Mom bruin.
“Someone tried my porridge!” cried little Kid bruin. “They gobbled it up!”
“Someone’s been sitting in my rocker!” shouted Pop bruin.
“Someone’s been sitting in my rocker!” yelled Mom bruin.
“Someone’s been sitting in my rocker!” cried little Kid bruin. “They broke it to bits!”
“Someone’s been sleeping in my bed!” shouted Pop bruin.
“Someone’s been sleeping in my bed!” yelled Mom bruin.
“Someone’s been sleeping in my bed!” cried little Kid bruin. “She’s still here!”
Goldilocks woke up, yelled in surprise, then jumped out the window.
She fled quickly, never more to bother the three Bruins.
